Can you believe that after all my W & W (key below) I have been enjoying designing these Christmas makes. See original whinge here.
Going to revisit this statement in the middle of December to see if I still feel the same rash, flush of love, for Christmas makes.
October is nearly over so this is the last week of the challenge at Crafts-Too-Challenge You. Today is week 4 of the theme – Christmas Festivities. Onto twist 2 of the theme and this time we want to know what Christmas means to you.
Christmas means fun to me (everything is fun to me) especially seeing the look on the faces of children whilst opening their presents. Nothing can compare to this.
Off we go onto the card and let’s start from the back – found some reindeer paper which I cut to size before putting into a Crafts Too EF.
This was then put through … wait fot it … my early Birthday Present an … eBosser … yayyyy so fabby … who cares if my Christmas stash is meager … not me. Gently blended the edges of the paper with Black Soot DI.
The second layer was covered with red chalk paint, then put into the A4 Christmas EF which came free with the machine. Not that you can see much of the pattern after all the ripping!!!
Lightly sanded the layer before brushing over with some Black Soot DI. Heated some gold EP around the edges. This layer looked so good but what did I do next … ripped out the middle to make an aperture. Used some corrugated cardboard to fill the abyss then added a piece of white dotty acetate over. Fussy cut the reindeer paper then placed behind the acetate.
Stamps used are the Marianne Christmas Sentiment which has been stamped onto a piece of the same paper. The borrowed TH stamp set called Mini Holiday Three is part of the finished embellies as is the poinsettia which I coloured with DI.
(Here’s hoping the November challenge is Christmas!!! …)
